Challenge
De Grote Post offers an almost overwhelming range of activities, from film screenings and concerts to circus performances, workshops, and rentable event spaces, all housed in one of Belgium's finest modernist buildings. The challenge was fitting a venue that deserves an hour-long tour into half a minute without it feeling rushed or hollow.
Solution
We leaned into the constraint rather than fighting it, designing a fast-paced collage animation that tears through the building room by room, highlighting atmosphere. Working within De Grote Post's established mixed-media style, we drew from archival photography, concert images, and programme books to reconstruct spaces and performances - an Arno concert rebuilt from a single photograph, rental venues conjured from printed ephemera. The result is a whirlwind that feels deliberately overwhelming in the best sense: a building too alive to be summarised, only experienced.
